Joel Brow

Chief Executive Officer | Coastal Energy Water and Air

For Joel Brow, the water treatment business has always been a family affair. His parents founded RainSoft Water of Pompano in 1966, becoming the first RainSoft dealer in South Florida. Joel got his start at just 12 years old, working as a “gopher” and doing whatever needed to be done. When his father offered him the car of his choice if he worked for $1 an hour until his 16th birthday, Joel learned an important lesson about setting goals, working hard, and following through.

Over the next 11 years, Joel gained hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of the business, from deliveries and installations to service, sales, and management. In 1983, he purchased the company from his father, beginning the next chapter of what would become a multigenerational family business.

As CEO of Coastal Energy Water and Air, Joel has spent decades building a company centered on customer relationships, quality products, and a commitment to helping families enjoy cleaner, healthier water. His belief that education is just as important as the products themselves continues to shape how Coastal serves its customers throughout South Florida.

Today, Joel works alongside his daughters, Stephanie and Danielle, who have taken on key leadership roles and helped drive the company’s continued growth. With their support, he is able to focus on strengthening customer relationships, developing new opportunities, and ensuring the values his parents established more than 60 years ago remain at the heart of the business.

For Joel, Coastal’s success has never been just about growing a company. It’s about building a lasting family legacy, creating opportunities for dedicated employees, and making a meaningful difference in the homes and lives of the customers they serve.
