The RainSoft TC-M combines straightforward operation with demand-based water conditioning. A computer-controlled water meter tracks actual household water consumption so the system regenerates when needed rather than relying solely on a predetermined schedule.

Additional features include:

  • Self-cleaning control valve
  • High-flow design for consistent household water pressure
  • Energy-efficient DC power supply
  • Fewer moving parts for dependable operation
  • Automatic bypass to maintain water availability during regeneration
  • Brine valve float system designed to help prevent overflow
  • Program memory retained in the event of a power outage
  • Optional activated carbon for additional water treatment
  • RainSoft Limited Lifetime Warranty

Incoming water flows through the TC-M’s control valve and into a tank containing ion-exchange resin. As the water passes through the resin, calcium and magnesium hardness minerals are captured, allowing conditioned water to flow back into the home’s plumbing.

The TC-M’s meter monitors actual water consumption. When regeneration is required, the system uses a salt solution to release the collected hardness minerals from the resin and flush them down the drain. The resin is then ready to begin conditioning water again.

By reducing hardness minerals throughout the home, the TC-M helps minimize scale accumulation on faucets, fixtures and water-using appliances.

Conditioned water can also improve the way soaps and shampoos lather and rinse, make bathroom and kitchen surfaces easier to clean and help reduce the amount of soap and detergent needed for everyday household tasks.

Demand-initiated regeneration means the system responds to actual household water use, helping avoid unnecessary regeneration cycles.
